Exmoor Search and Rescue Team will carefully consider applications from anyone wishing to become more involved with the work of the team.
All team members, regardless of background and experience, are first required to undergo a period of training, usually lasting up to one year. This is an opportunity for you to learn the skills required to become an operational team member and also for the team to monitor your progress along the way.
The Exmoor Search and Rescue Team are a profesional organisation supporting the Police. Therefore any team member or trainee must show dedication and professionalism at all times. All team members and trainees are expected to regularly attend team training sessions in order that necessary skills are kept current in the event that they need to be called upon at a moments notice.

Please note that the team can only effectively support a limited number of trainees at any time, therefore potential applicants may be invited to join a waiting list.
The Exmoor Search and Rescue Team is a voluntary organisation funded through the hard work of team members and supporters. The team members need help with its vital background activities which allow the team to fulfil its role as a police and community resource.
