The Exmoor Search and Rescue Team have been placed on a state of alert on Tuesday morning to assist the Police, should the imminent heavy snow falls cause disruption to essential services or main transport links.

The team have two Land Rover Ambulance's standing-by with crew, ready to assist.  The remainder of the team's resources also remain ready to be deployed, if required.
