TIVERTON, DEVON - Every year at the team's Annual General Meeting, the John Wright Award is presented to a team member or supporter who has shown an outstanding contribution to the team over the past year.

John Wright AwardThe award is named in honour of John Wright. the founder of the Exmoor Search & Rescue Team, who sadly passed away several years ago.

This is the seventh year the award has been presented and previous winners have included Ray Poole, one of the early team members and now long term supporter of the team.

This year, the award was presented to Bill Clifton - a team member for many years and now actively supporting the team.  The award is in recognition of his service with the team and his committment and continued passion for organising the team's presence at events such as the Ilfracombe Rescue Day.

The team's Chairman, Amanda Webb presented Bill with the award on Thursday night after the AGM meeting in Tiverton.
