Location: View Map The search from the previous evening continued. The areas searched in darkness were re-searched and further surrounding areas were included in the search. The missing person was located by an ESRT search party at around 15.30hrs. The Police then took care of re-uniting him with his family.

Location: View Map After a long day helping the Exmoor National Park Authority at the annual Exmoor Perambulation, the team was asked to assist in the search for a 50 year old male at West Buckland near Wellington. A search was conducted of areas near to his home, but by 1am he had not been located, so a decision was taken to continue the search in daylight the next morning.

Location: View Map The team were contacted on Sunday evening by Avon and Somerset Police and asked to search for a missing 57 year old man. The man had been reported missing from his home in Crewkerne earlier in the afternoon.
Exmoor Search & Rescue Team searched nearby fields, farms, tracks and woodland throughout the night alongside Police Search Teams and the Police Helicopter. The search was briefly halted at 0300hrs on Monday to allow team members to rest before being recommenced in daylight later in the morning. Fresh resources including search dogs, additional SARDA Dog Handlers from Dartmoor Rescue Group and further Police search teams were called upon to assist in the search. A further full day of exhaustive searching was undertaken with possible sightings of the man by the public being swiftly investigated. UPDATE: Police have confirmed that they are scaling down the search, following a positive sighting of the missing person which is being investigated. |

Location: View Map On an already busy Easter Sunday, the team were called by Devon and Cornwall Police and asked to search for a 39 year old woman who had been reported missing from her home in the Braunton area.
HM Coastguard were tasked with searching the dunes and open areas around Braunton Burrows, whilst the RAF Search and Rescue Helicopter from Chivenor mounted a search along the coastline and the popular Tarka Trail. Exmoor Search and Rescue Team contentrated efforts inland around the woman's home, nearby fields and woodland.
By 4am, the woman had not been found and it was decided to suspend the search until later that morning. As the team were also coordinating another major search on the Quantock Hills during this time, it was decided to hand control of the ongoing search to fresh colleagues from North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team. By the morning, further police enquiries had led to the woman being found in Barnstaple. |
