Exmoor Search & Rescue Team were deployed by Avon and Somerset Police to assist South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust with a casualty at Wimbleball Lake on Exmoor National Park.

A member of the public had become unwell at Wimbleball Lake; due to the nature of the reported illness, a mutli-agency response comprising of the ESRT Ambulance (Ex.92) ?, an Ambulance from #SWAST?, the Air Ambulance from #DAAT? and a local co-responder from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service?attended.

Initial Casualty Care ⛑ was provided by the Team shortly before the Crew from #HEMS arrived on scene. Once deemed safe for evacuation, the Team utilised our specialist wheeled basket stretcher to evacuate the casualty to the road, for onward conveyance to hospital. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery!
